Influence of Salt Concentration on Retention Time of PEG with GF-310 HQ Column

If water solution containing salt is used as eluent, PEG will be absorbed to Asahipak GF-310 HQ column, because hydrophobic interaction of PEG will be strong. This influence will becomel stronger if column temperature is made high.

3. EG, Ethylene glycol (MW: 62)

Column       : Shodex Asahipak GF-310 HQ (7.5mmID*300mm)
Eluent       : H2O or 0.1M NaCl aq.
Flow rate    : 0.5mL/min
Detector     : Shodex RI
Column temp. : 30deg-C or 40deg-C
