Effect of Acetonitorile Concentration on Elution Volume
Monovalent and divalent cation standards were analyzed using IC
YK-421.
The effect of the acetonitorile concentration in 3mM nitric acid on elution volume
of cations is shown. By increasing the acetonitorile concentration, the cations
are eluted faster. Especially, the elution volume of divalent cations are eluted
faster markedly. When the acetonitorile concentration of acetonitrile is higher
than 50%, to the contrary, cations are eluted slower a little by increasing
acetonitorile concentration.
