Betaine

Asahipak NH2P-50 4E was used to analyze betaine. Betaine (Trimethylglycine, or (Carboxylmethyl)-Trimethylammonium) is a dipole ion which bears cationic and anionic charges in its structure, found in sugar beets (Beta vulgaris), shrimps and crabs. Betaine is often used as a food additive and a moisturizer in cosmetics.
