ET-RP1 4D is polymer base column for high temperature analysis. Figure shows comparison of reduced plate height and analysis time between 40deg-C and 150deg-C. Smaller value of reduced plate height means better column resolution. The reduced plate height of acetophenone and benzene decreased at the 150deg-C. Mobile phase viscosity decreases at higher temperature and thus enhanced diffusion rate between the eluent and the polymeric stationary phase. Then resolution is improved.

ET-RP1 4D is polymer base column for high temperature analysis. Figure shows relation between analysis temperature and flow rate. At higher temperature reduced plate height decreased. Suitable flow rate, flow rate at the best plate number, increased at higher temperature. ET-RP1 4D is good column for fast analysis and high resolution with high temperature analysis.

Mobile phase viscosity decreased at high temperature analysis, higher flow rate can be applied. And suitable flow rate range is shifted to higher at high temperature. ET-RP1 4D is good column for fast analysis with high temperature analysis.

There is growing trend of eco-friendly projects in various areas, and this trend is not an exception for HPLC analysis. For reversed phase chromatography, typically the retention becomes stronger and the peak shape becomes broader when the ratio of organic solvent is lowered. In contrast, analysis at higher temperature provides improved resolution. Moreover, since the optimal flow rate becomes faster at higher temperature, this makes it possible to use lower organic solvent ratio without causing inferior result that may be observed at ambient temperature condition. Therefore, the higher temperature method is effective for the reduction of organic solvent use; provides environmental friendly analysis.
Following is an application for polymer-based reversed phase chromatography column, ET-RP1 3D. The column has resistance to elevated temperature conditions. This analysis was carried at 150 deg-C. Obtained result provided fast and good separation, even though the mobile phase used was 100% water.
