Cyanide
Combining IEC DEAE-825 (a column for weak anion exchange chromatography) with an electrochemical detector (ECD) has permitted sensitive detection of cyanide. With this method, the detection limit of cyanide is 0.2 micro-g/L.

Sample : CN–
Column : Shodex IEC DEAE-825 (8.0mmID*75mm) Eluent : (10mM Sodium carbonate + 1mM Ethylenediamine) aq./CH3OH=90/10 Flow rate : 1.0mL/min Detector : ECD(Electrode; Ag 0mV SCE) Column temp. : 40deg-C
Total cyanide in river water was analysed using DEAE-825 (a column for weak anion exchange chromatography) and an electrochemical detector (ECD).

Sample : 100micro-L of distilled river water (water)
