Solvents used in HPLC’s and other instruments can spill exposing operators to the liquids and the vapors they emit.  This risk can be virtually eliminated by securely connecting exit lines to our uniquely designed manifolds.  These manifolds capture all the instrument solvent waste and easily disconnect from the can without spillage when a waste container needs to be emptied.

KITS contain the manifold and all its correct fittings to easily connect your instrument to the waste can you’ve selected.   And we’re always available to help.

These kits work for any LC brand new and old, especially Agilent 1100 & 1200’s and Waters’ Alliance or Acuity.  They’ve also been installed on Illumina systems collecting their waste in 55 gallon drums.

Each kit uses our most flexible 10-Port manifold and a comprehensive array of fittings.

Solvent vapors that ordinarily would escape from waste containers can be prevented from doing so by our high surface area charcoal exit filters.

A special, optional, color indicator, sensitive to organic compounds, shows when the filter needs to be changed. Its response is uniform over a range of organic solvents.

The same proprietary design is also built into reservoir caps that supply the instrument’s mobile phase.  The result is easy to fill mobile phase bottles and safe, easy to empty waste containers.

As solvent is drawn out of the bottle (red upward arrows), a one-way check valve (top center) keeps vapor saturated air contained while allowing air to enter the bottle (blue downward arrow) balancing the pressures.

The check valve itself is protected by a barrier filter blocking dust and particulate contamination.

Manifolds are designed to provide the necessary number and types of ports needed to capture all the solvent exit lines from your instrument, typically a high pressure liquid chromatograph.

There are two line types — Hard walled, small bore tubes that collect solvent from detectors, autosampler injection waste or pump prime/purge valves.  These lines are small bore (1/16-1/8″ OD) — And Large bore, Soft walled tubes (i.e. 1/4″ ID Tygon®) connect other exit points on the instrument like a leak port or autosampler chiller (aqueous condensate).

These are attached to the manifold with either 1/4″-28 compression nuts or NPT threaded hose barb fittings.  Our Kits contain all fittings needed to capture all the lines coming from an LC.

Your choice of a waste can determines the manifold adapter required to mount the kit’s manifold on the can.
